SCOBY PRINT questionne le rapport du textile à la peau à travers l’impression d’un matériau vivant, la cellulose bactérienne, dite Scoby en anglais. En partenariat avec le laboratoire Open Biofabrics, ce projet a permis de mettre au point un procédé d’impression microbien à diffuser en open-source.
Un textile scoby-printé peut être remis en culture pour cultiver de nouvelles encres bactériennes. Un kit de culture a également été réalisé en open-source pour diffuser cette pratique et faire émerger un nouveau savoir-faire par la communauté.



SCOBY PRINT questions the relationship of textiles to skin through the printing of a living material, bacterial cellulose, known as SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of  Bacteria and Yeast). 
In partnership with the Open Biofabrics laboratory, this project has develop a microbial printing process to be distributed in open-source.
A scoby-printed textile can be recultured to grow new bacterial inks. A culture kit has also been produced in open-source to disseminate this practice and bring out new know-how by the community.
